Goal Zero Lighthouse 400 Lantern & USB Power Hub

Goal Zero was founded by Robert Workman in 2009 with a mission “We believe in the potential to make a difference in the lives of people everywhere” They produce a wide range of products including Portable Power, Solar Panels and lighting.

I have been using the Goal Zero Lighthouse 400 regularly over the last few weeks and I have been very impressed with it so far and consider it an essential piece of kit for anybody interested in the great outdoors.

The Lighthouse 400 is a dimmable light with the ability to run up to 400 lumens. The battery can be charged through the solar panel, USB or a built in hand crank so you will never be left in the dark. The USB port at the front of the Lighthouse 400 is a key feature of this product allowing to charge your mobile phone even in the most remote of locations. The Lighthouse 400 comes with collapsible legs that can be used as a stand when required or folded back for easy storage, It also has a built in handle allows for carrying and hanging.

The Lighthouse 400 is run on a Li-ion NMC battery with a Run Time between 2.5 and 48 Hours depending on what light setting its used on. It also allows for 2 minutes of light per one-minute cranking in a case  of an emergency. It also has an emergency light setting that flashes red if required and uses up very little power. The lighthouse 400  is extremely light at 1.1lb. A full battery charge takes 5 hours and In our most recent family camping trip with got a full three nights lighting of a partial charge.

If you are looking for a hybrid high-power lamp and a charging device, the Goal Zero Lighthouse 400 Lantern & USB Power Hub is the perfect option. It will provide bright light for emergency use or camping trips while also allowing you to restore power to your electronics, I highly recommend it
