Red original was co founded by John Hibbard in 2008 with a goal of making Paddle boarding more accessible to a wider audience. John was a professional wind surfer but wanted to create a product that would allow everybody enjoy the beauty of the sea. To do this he created a Red Paddle Co board, an inflatable board that can be used by anybody without needing vast experience. Off the back of the product Red Original have a vast community of paddle boarders across the globe in 60 countries. Building on the Paddle boards the company has created a variety of other products and over the last few months I have had the pleasure of reviewing a variety of these products.

At the request of our follower base to expand our product review range I started investigating new interesting products and I came across Red Original  during my Search. I had been looking for a top quality Robe to keep me warm after swimming in the sea and allow me get changed quickly before and after my swims.  The Red Original Luxury Towelling Change Robe seemed to click all the boxes and I was really looking forward to trying it out.

Growing up on the west coast of Ireland I always loved the sea and I learnt to swim at a very early age. Luckily, when I moved to Dublin I made my home in a small town that was also right next to the sea and that love for the water has continued. Since joining my local Triathlon club in 2017  it has only increased further but the one thing I struggled with in my first season in Triathlon was the protecting my modesty when getting changed and the  cold prior to and after being in the water. This is no longer an issue and I have the Red Original Luxury Towelling Change Robe to thank for that.

The Robe is made with 100% cotton, this is very absorbent, feels great against the skin and allows for very quick drying after your swim. It is extremely well made and feels like a premium product.The Robe is very warm like wrapping your self up in a comfy blanket which is particularity nice on windy cold days at the Irish sea side . The sleeves on the robe are massive, allowing you to easily position your arms inside and get dressed without exposing yourself to other beach goers. The hood is nice and large also and has a draw cord that you can tighten on windy days. It also has large pockets at the front to keep your hands nice and warm. Its a lovely shade of grey with some red coloring and looks really well on and at a price that certainly wont break the bank.

I have used this product on a daily basis since March on sunny, windy and even rainy days and for me its a total game changer and a must have in my kit bag. I plan on purchasing some for my kids next season for sure. I highly recommend
