I had always associated Sherpa as a great brand of products aimed at the climbing market and then I decided to give the brand a try and see how good they were, and so far I have been really impressed.
The Sherpa Dorje ¼ Zip Neck long sleeve top is an excellent all weather top. Designed for the climbing market and used by many climbers on expeditions to places like Everest you would expect the Dorje long sleeve top to keep you nice and warm and it certainly does. The first time I used the top was as mid-layer on a windy and cold 2 degrees Celsius evening in Dublin without base layer or Jacket. It kept me nice and warm but well ventilated and comfortable on the run.
The Dorje long sleeve top has Polartec® Power Dry® technology meaning the product is quick drying and very comfortable next to the skin. It has extremely superior wicking that would work great during long distance running, Hiking, Climbing or Skiing. The top is two-sided fabric that allows you stay dry even when sweating. The Dorje long sleeve top has a fleece interior that I found extremely comfortable against the skin and even though you are warm and comfortable its also very breathable the material manages to push the moisture away from your skin. If you need additional ventilation the Dorje long sleeve top has a zip which when opened will do so.
Another thing I like about the Sherpa range of products is their attention to detail, all pieces of clothing come finished with an endless knot the symbol in their words represents the unity of thought and action, words and deeds, wisdom and compassion. We place it here to bring you good fortune. I think this is a nice little touch.
The Dorje long sleeve can be used as a Mid-layer or in extreme weather conditions base-layer top and because of its breathability I would consider it as an all-weather top that can be used in the Summer on morning trail runs or during the cold winter runs. The top comes in 4 colours and sizes from small to XXL. It is an excellent top for Runners, Climbers, Hikers and Skiers.
