Skechers Go Meb Speed 3

I have been running in Skechers for many years now and they have never let me down. I got a pair of Go Meb Speed 3 back in May for the Dublin Marathon in October. I have been very pleased with my choice.

The Go Meb Speed 3 are the latest version of Meb Keflezighi’s signature runners and the shoe that Meb was wearing when he ran the prestigious Boston Marathon in 2014. I am a big fan of his and was really looking forward to putting these to the test. The Upper on the go Meb Speed 3 has gone through some positive changes, they are slightly wider than previous versions and there is additional cushioning at the heel of the shoe. The Go Meb Speed 3 are extremely light weight, I run in a UK size 9.5 and they weigh only 8 oz. The Go Meb Speed 3 are a natural fit with a 4mm heel drop. They also come with M-Strike® Technology which promotes a midfoot strike, Independent circular GOimpulse™ Sensors and Resalyte® Midsole – Proprietary lightweight injection-molded compound with memory retention helps absorb impact.

Since I started running with the Go Meb Speed 3 back in May I have run several hundred miles from 5km park, 10km, 10 mile and half marathon road races to 20 mile long slow runs. I have run on beaches, forest trails, cross country and on tarmac. I have significantly reduced my PB race time for all the above distance, I am not sure if it’s all down to the runners I am wearing but I do think it has certainly helped. The Go Meb Speed 3 are extremely light and very comfortable the padding at the heel of the shoe certainly helps with that. The circular GOimpulse™ Sensors and Resalyte® Midsole really assist when running across gravel paths or forest trail you don’t have to worry about feeling every stone you run across. The mesh across the front of the runners makes these extremely breathable I found this especially during my long slow run.

Skechers offer top quality running shoes at a great price. The go Meb Speed 3 come in a variety of very cool colours. I would have no hesitation in recommending these running shoes and I am looking forward to running in them on the 26th of October at the Dublin City Marathon.
