I was looking for a quality soft shell jacket to protect me from the wind and the rain while out for a run. I came across a jacket from a company called Spiro who pride themselves on high performance technical clothing for people with an active lifestyle.

I have been using the Spiro TEAM 3-LAYER SOFT-SHELL JACKET and here is some feedback on it. The Spiro soft shell is windproof, very breathable and waterproof rating of 5000mm so it’s capable of withstanding light to moderate rain which is normally enough to keep you dry while out on your long runs. The jacket has two side pockets on the front, one on the inside and two ventilation pockets under the arm pit allowing the jacket to keep you dry yet allowing good breathability.

I have used this jacket on many cycles, walks and runs and found it very comfortable. It is reliable in the rain yet breathable on the warmer days. The zips on the front two pockets are very small and not easy to use while wearing gloves. The jacket extends further at the back to protect from any splash back while running and cycling. I found this jacket to be a good quality waterproof jacket.
