I have been looking for a compact and light weight lantern to assist with camping trips, I came across the Streamlight Siege and have been very impressed with the quality of it.

The lantern has multiple modes with white and red LEDs.

When using white on High you get a very impressive 200 lumens and 7 hours of battery life. On Medium you get a longer battery life of over 15 hours with 100 lumens of brightness. On low your time extends to 37 hours and 50 lumens.

When using Red LED on high the lantern uses 0.7 lumens and a battery life of 8 days. Using on SOS mode during an emergency with 0.7 lumens and an amazing 12 days battery life which would be extremely useful if stuck in an emergency.

The lantern cover helps by reducing glare and helps with the even distribution of light. But the cover can be removed if you need to light up a larger area. The Lantern has a very secure handle and the D-Ring at the base of the lantern allowing you to very easily hang the lantern on a rope inside the tent. The battery level indicator is a very useful feature that highlights the current state of your battery’s changing from green to yellow to red and eventually flashing red when batteries have run out. The lantern is extremely waterproof allowing you to submerge to 1 meter, the lantern also floats if accidentally dropped in the water.

I have used this Lantern on many occasions now and it has never let me down. It’s extremely light, easy to use and extremely bright when it needs to be. I highly recommend this lantern to anyone looking for a top quality light for camping, hunting or hiking.
