Teko Ultralight Compression Sleeve

During marathon training last year one of the things I really struggled with was the recovery process after my long runs. This year I decided to look into a way of assisting with this and thought a compression sleeve may help.

I did some research and came across Teko and their new Ultralight Compression Sleeve. Teko are a well known British company that have now been established for ten years. They pride themselves on providing customer with top quality Eco-Performance Socks for a variety of sports including running, Hiking, Cycling and Skiing .

The purpose of the compression sleeve is to apply a consistent compression to your calf area leading to improved blood circulation through your arteries back to your heart. The product has a feature called  ‘graduated compression’   so they are tighter around the ankle and looser on the calf. I found that they are very tight to put on which you would expect from any compression gear but very comfortable. The sleeves are divided into 4 sizes the size you need depends on the size of your calf at it widest point ranging from 25 to 50 cm.

I used these on a few runs lately and overall I have been very pleased with them. Marathon training is yet to start but I think the  Ultralight Compression Sleeve will help a lot with my training regime. The Ultralight Compression Sleeve would be very much suited to long distance runners, cyclists and individuals competing in Iron Man and triathlon events.
